Job Summary
The HR Manager will lead the human resources function at Digaf Microfinance, aligning HR strategies with the company’s vision of financial inclusion and innovation. This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee development, organizational culture, performance management, and compliance. A strong background in fintech or technology-driven financial services is required to effectively support the company’s digital transformation and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
· Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s objectives, focusing on the needs of a technology-driven microfinance institution.
· Partner with senior management to design and execute initiatives that foster innovation, engagement, and high performance.
· Provide strategic advice on workforce planning to support organizational growth and the integration of fintech solutions.
Talent Acquisition and Development
· Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process to attract top talent, especially individuals with fintech expertise.
· Design and implement onboarding programs to integrate new hires effectively.
· Develop training programs to enhance employees' technical, managerial, and fintech-related skills.
Employee Engagement and Culture
· Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, and employee satisfaction.
· Implement initiatives to boost employee engagement and retention, ensuring alignment with the organization’s values and fintech aspirations.
· Act as a trusted advisor for employee relations, resolving conflicts and promoting a harmonious work environment.
Performance Management
· Develop and manage a performance appraisal system to evaluate and improve employee performance.
· Align performance objectives with departmental and organizational goals, emphasizing productivity and innovation.
· Identify high-potential employees and design career progression plans to support talent growth.
Policy Development and Compliance
· Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian labor laws and industry best practices.
· Ensure the organization’s HR practices support the unique demands of a fintech-oriented workforce.
· Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
HR Operations
· Manage HR systems, ensuring they meet the needs of a technology-driven organization.
· Prepare HR analytics and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
· Monitor and manage HR budgets effectively.
Organizational Development
· Lead initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and readiness for digital transformation.
· Champion change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align HR practices with business goals, particularly in the fintech domain.
