Request for Proposals
Consultant to conduct mapping of clinical service providers, community based organisations, retailers, stockists/wholesalers in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia
Background and Context
Triggerise Stichting is a Dutch non-profit founded in 2014 that implements health and wellbeing programmes in seven countries, primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa and India, which have reached over 500,000 adolescent girls and young women globally. Triggerise has partnered with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ethiopia (EKN) since 2018 to support young women’s access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and products via our mobile technology powered motivation platform and ecosystem. To date, our platform has connected over 75,000 adolescent girls and young women aged 15-24 to contraceptives and other health services through an established and vibrant ecosystem of providers in Addis Ababa and Afar.
Triggerise uses a technology platform, powered by mobile phones, websites, apps, SMS, and membership cards, to connect young people to health services and products, training opportunities, and employment. By enabling communities of users on the supply and demand side to plug in, the platform enables efficiency, sustainability, and scale. We expand and adapt the platform to meet young people where they are, through different user journeys that vary depending on age, gender, and geography. Our Tiko platform has a simple frontend, designed for anyone to use regardless of phone ownership, tech ability, or even literacy. The backend is more complex, providing us with the ability to connect different partners, offers, and services; introduce behavioural nudges and restrictions; and analyse the real-time data. This data enables us to monitor performance; motivate behaviour through rewards, reminders, and follow ups; and pay demand generators and service providers based on results.
Triggerise has been given the opportunity through EKN to expand our SRH project beyond Addis Ababa and Afar to Bahir Dar in collaboration with Cordaid. To enable us to do this effectively, Triggerise is seeking the services of a consultant(s) to map out potential ecosystem partners in Bahir Dar, as outlined below.
