Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the operations & client care manager, the Team Leader will coordinate and lead the efforts of the staff under his supervision to achieve daily/monthly/quarterly KPIs. Among others, his/her responsibilities are:
- Develop, Cascade and communicate the strategic and operational plan of the department and evaluate continual Department performance
- Maintain continuous lines of communication keeping the General Manager for sales, operation and client care department informed of all critical issues.
- Keeps the GM for sales, operation and client care appraised of unique situations and problems encountered.
- Oversees and participates in providing direct supervision to operation officers
- Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommends appropriate service and staffing levels in compliance with company policies.
- Reviews all site work to verify compliance with all applicable plans, procedures and governing cods.
- Inspects and diagnoses problem to determine corrective actions/repairs in all operational activities.
- Coordinates with marketing personal and warehouse personal to identify correct materials, parts assemblies and requirements for a variety of requisitions needed for the job.
- Selects trains motivates and evaluates assigned personnel; provides or coordinates staff training, works with employees to correct deficiencies; documents and provides discipline as need and recommends terminations.

- Reviews and approves operational follow –up tables
- Responds to emergency site intervention towards government offices such as but not limited to customs as required.
- Assists in developing cost estimates, budgets, correspondence, and status reports related to operations.
- Determines any changes in programs or operational that are required by complex regulations, plans establishes procedures, national standards, etc.…..
- Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities and accountability of all direct reports are defined and understood. leads, directs, and communicates with the staff to keep them informed and motivated
- Monitors and approves draft invoices and close operational files after ascertaining all required documents are attached to the file
- Interprets the terms of various contracts and ensure internal compliance with those terms.
- Maintains excellent customer/client methods of communication to permit efficient problem resolution and acceptance of new services or programs.
- Helps to develop, implement, monitor, and manager safety/environmental programs, policies, and procedures.
- Develops and recommends changes to a wide variety of related directives and manuals.
- Demonstrates consistent skills in structuring assigned actives, regulation compliance, teamwork and communications, operating efficiencies, handling of client changing needs, decision making, and analyzing and solving typical operational problems.
- Monitors work in progress for adherence to client, safety standards and directives.
- Assists in business development and growth of the company.
- Evaluate staff performance and manage employee appraisals

- Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the operations teams.

- Ensure staff member receive timely and appropriate training and development.
- Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities and conduct performance appraisals.
- Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach; assign to accountabilities; set objective
- Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of polices, internal controls and procedures.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process for the operation and client care wing
- Prepares and present monthly operational progress reports
- Work in line either he product or service mission; vision and values of SMIM
- Carry out similar to the above activities whenever instructed by the general manger.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Economics, Marketing Management, Business Administration or related fields with 5 years relevant experience"
- Strong background and work experience n Logistics and Supply Chain
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
- Budget development and oversight experience
- Excellent people manager, open to direction and Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done"
- Certificate of training attendance on communication skills; customer handling techniques, Basic Managerial skills and Ethiopian Customs regulations and procedures
