Job Description
- Working as a business partner with each function across Boortmalt plant.
- Dealing with all HR related matters with different government and non-government agency and other stake holders in alignment with HR Manager.
- Working with management to ensure all information (e.g. Jobs, hours etc. ) are up to date.
- Working with HR team to guide and advise management and employees, through all aspects of the employee’s life cycle.
- Managing absences, conducting investigations, administering discipline, handling grievances, and assessing capabilities. This must be done in accordance with the consistent application of company policies and procedures and compliance with relevant laws and best practices.
- Managing the implementation and monitoring of HR process including recruitment and selection, employment contracts, joiners and leavers, employment checks, induction, mandatory/ other training, probationary period review, performance, and development review, leave management, providing appropriate support and coaching to employees to ensure full compliance with policies and procedures.
- Providing management information reports relating to HR for example absence data, staff lists, payroll cost, to the HR Manager on requests for information, ensuring timely and accurate responses are provided.
- Collecting payroll input, organize and process monthly payroll.
- Organizing and managing personal files in the line with the confidentiality policy of the company.
- Contributing to the development of HR policies, as requested.
- Management and provision of HR data including data input, as necessary.
- Maintaining and updating HR database system.
- Coordinating learning and development events for company staff as required and participate in the delivery of events as relevant.
- Performing Other duties when assigned.
Job Requirements
- University Degree in General Management, HR Management, Business Administration, and related fields.
- At least 3 years of work experience in an HR function.
- This position requires an excellent communicator with a good verbal and written skills, who is timely, discreet, professional.
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of the Ethiopian labour law is required.
Language / IT:
- Fluent in English
- Competent in the use of MS Office
